PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Our customer is a world-leading provider of transport solutions, driving the shift towards a sustainable transport system and creating a world of mobility that is better for business, society, and the environment.

The team that you will be part of collects data for all connected vehicles and aggregates it so that drivers can evaluate their own driving behaviors and skills.

THE ROLE INVOLVES:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data solutions that drive business value
• Designing, implementing and maintaining analytical data solutions using Snowflake, collaborating with data analysts and data scientists
• Designing and implementing data quality and governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy and reliability in the context of a data mesh architecture

TECHNICAL PLAYGROUND:

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
• Extensive experience with data modelling techniques: data warehousing, data lakes, data lakehouses, medallion architecture, data mesh
• Experience using python and SQL to develop data processing pipelines
• Experience with analyzing data using complex SQL queries
• Experience with query optimization, query execution plans, indexes, data distribution, partitioning
• Experience in developing and maintain data analytics solutions using Snowflake (preferred), Redshift, Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, or other cloud-based platforms
• Experience working with the Delta and Iceberg tables
• Good understanding of AWS services like S3, RDS, IAM, Networking
• Experience with DBT for data transformation, modelling and validation
• Familiarity using Airflow for scheduling and monitoring data loads
