Senior Principal Design Engineer

Job Description:

Performs semiconductor engineering design, development, and testing for firm products and devices in conjunction with product development for the electronic communications industry. Develop verified emulation prototype models of full SoC microcontroller chips to support pre-silicon development teams. Work via a system-level view of design, hardware and software, and use SoC emulation on many aspects of VLSI chip design. Responsible for cross functional aspects such as HDL design, verification, validation and applications and software. Perform a variety of semiconductor design functions. Operate computer-assisted engineering tools and configure the same to perform design engineering tasks and implement test programs and procedures. Confer with customers and other departments on design status, processing, testing and technical issues, and failure analysis. Monitor production of products and devices to ensure conformance to design specifications.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Systems and Control Engineering, or Computer Engineering (with related variants such as VLSI or Physics), foreign equivalent or related field.

Five (5) years of experience in job offered, R&D Engineer, Product Applications Engineer, Engineer, or closely related.

Required skills:

Position requires five (5) years of experience in:

• FPGA design or emulation;
• Verilog and System Verilog;
• SynopsysVCS;
• Cadence Incisive; and
• Chip Scope.
