About the Team:

The Elastic Cloud Security team is focused on helping users protect their cloud-native environments through policy management and cloud security enforcement. We are looking for a strong Go Engineer to join our team and help us continue to improve and innovate in the area of cloud security. You will be working on two of our main features: Cloud Security Posture and Vulnerability Management. These features are critical in ensuring that our customers cloud environments are secure and compliant. This is a great opportunity to join our team in the early stages of the product development and have a big impact in shaping the product and the team.

What you will be doing:

• Design, develop and maintain features related to Cloud Security Posture and Vulnerability Management.
• Write efficient, maintainable, and testable code.
• Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new features.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to team standards.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cloud security and Go programming.
• Contribute to the improvement of development processes and team culture.
• Help shape the product and direction of the team as it is in the early stages of development.

What you bring along:

• Proficiency in Go programming language.
• Experience with cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns.
• Experience with Git and Linux/Unix environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Passion for open-source software and contributing to the community.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality, production-ready code.
• Good communication and collaboration skills and the ability to work effectively in a distributed environment.

Bonus points:

• Experience with Elastic stack (ELK).
• Hands-on experience with Open Policy Agent.
• Experience with IAC tools such as Terraform, Helm, Pulumi.
• Experience with Python.
