WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Our Global Corporate Finance team is looking for a Lead to join our team. There are two roles open in the following areas:
Global Corporate FP&A: This candidate will partner closely with our Strategic Finance, New Business & Corporate Development, Global Business Planning, and Enterprise Strategy teams to deliver industry and competitor benchmarking, financial modeling, and valuation analysis that informs strategic decisions and business plans for Nike, Inc.
Global Strategic Finance: This candidate will partner closely with our Enterprise Strategy, Nike Marketplace, Nike Digital Product, Global Tech, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations teams to deliver strategic finance analysis that provides actionable insight to Nike, Inc.
Candidates must be comfortable with ambiguity, be a self-starter, action-oriented, and results-driven to be successful. Additionally, superb Excel skills are required, as is the ability to partner and build trust with a wide range of cross-functional business partners.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
Global Corporate FP&A: You will work with the team as they shape Nike, Inc.’s path to long-term shareholder value creation through tops down financial, valuation and industry analysis. This role will be responsible for providing outside-in perspective that can shape the business strategy, as well as financial modeling and scenario analysis that that quantifies long-term growth, profitability and value creation potential.
Global Strategic Finance: You will work with the team as they shape and support workstreams to help drive understanding of the potential value created through long-term marketplace opportunities. This role will be responsible for driving broad insights and thorough analysis that can shape the business strategy but also be responsible for creating business models that identify value creation opportunities.
The candidate will also work on and help lead ad-hoc projects. For these projects, you will help scope the work, drive the financial and strategic analysis, and communicate findings/insights with key stakeholders. You will also support as needed the process of building financial forecasts and analyzing current and historical trends.
These roles will blend a strategic mindset with quantitative analyses and financial acumen that will be used to support key decision-making.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work collaboratively in a dynamic, diverse team environment to establish trust with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders
Advise senior business leaders and other team members with strategic and financial analysis using a variety of systems and tools, ensuring data quality and accuracy for decision-making; this role requires leadership and cross-functional work across Finance and enterprise-wide teams to deliver timely deliverables and financial insights against high expectations
Provide financial support and strategic analysis for enterprise-wide teams; be a subject matter expert with a deep understanding of Nike’s financial statements and results
Synthesize a wide variety of data including macroeconomic, market, industry trends, competitor results, and financial metrics to deliver meaningful insights to senior leaders at Nike
Build long-term financial models to quantify value creation scenarios through revenue growth, profitability expansion, and capital allocation strategies
Maintain benchmarking and comparable company analysis across competitive trends, financial performance, and valuation
Communicate financial and business results and growth opportunities to senior leaders
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
On a daily basis, you will be working across the Nike matrix. You will work closely with our Corporate Finance colleagues, the Enterprise Strategy team, and cross-functional Finance teams to analyze and Nike’s long-term growth and value creation opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, experience or training
5+ years of experience with financial/business analysis and investment banking or equity research experience strongly preferred
Superb Excel skills
Strong passion for the Nike brand and an understanding of sport and/or sport culture
Ability to work well in a collaborative, team environment
A diverse and inclusive mindset
Development of long and short-term financial plans
Problem structuring and strategic problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
