Lecturer - Visual Merchandising [ITE College Central]

[What the role is]
A member of the course team in ITE College Central, supporting the Section Head in formulating relevant training programmes to nurture and develop students.

[What you will be working on]

1.   Conduct training for various modules in Visual Merchandising course.

2.   Collaborate with Industry partners for external project and new training programmes.

3.   Coaching and nurture student’s talents to maximize their potential.

4.   Stay updated with the latest trends in the retail industry and incorporate them into the curriculum.

[What we are looking for]

1. You must have a passion for aspiring youths and excellence, with a patience for nurturing academic and personal growth.

2. A minimum of 5 years of Industrial working experience. Have a good understanding of Visual Merchandising and Retail Space Planning and Design, with strong background in the following areas:

• Knowledge of Visual Merchandising
• Knowledge of Retail Store/Space Design and Planning (Planning, production and software)
• Knowledge of new media & trends (Production, Fabrication, E-commerce, Data analytics)
• Project management
• Understanding and experience of retail branding and marketing
• Use of Generative AI in the teaching of design

3. You should possess suitable credentials in Visual Merchandising or Retail Store/Space Design and relevant experience in the retail industry (in the capacity of visual merchandising and retail space planning).

4. You are expected to create and deliver lessons in visual merchandising and retail space design, which includes teaching of relevant software. Successful candidates should possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience and proficiency in CAD and 3D space design software.

5. You must be creative and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong background in writing, communication and interpersonal skills will be advantageous.
