Liberty Dental Plan is seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Business Analyst to join our growing Transformation Office. Reporting to the VP of Transformation, this role will lead the identification, analysis, and documentation of business and technical requirements to support Liberty’s high-impact enterprise initiatives. In some cases, the Senior Business Analyst may also take on project management responsibilities. This is a key position that works cross-functionally with stakeholders to drive meaningful operational improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to identify needs, challenges, and improvement opportunities.

  • Conduct thorough analysis of current systems, processes, and data to support solution design.

  • Document clear, actionable business and functional requirements, user stories, workflows, and wireframes.

  • Maintain traceability from requirements through to testing and implementation.

  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate business validation activities.

  • Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather input, ensure alignment, and drive decisions.

  • Build strong relationships across the organization and communicate effectively with all levels, including senior and executive leaders.

  • Partner with project managers to support on-time and successful delivery of initiatives.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of transformation efforts.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Experience: 5+ years as a Senior Business Analyst, Business Analyst, or Project Manager in healthcare (preferably with a health plan).

  • Strong knowledge of business analysis principles and methodologies (BABOK knowledge preferred).

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and deliver results.

  • Proficiency in interpreting complex systems and troubleshooting technical challenges.

  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • Ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving, and ambiguous environments.

  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Visio, Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.).

  • Business Analysis certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus or in progress.
