Job Summary:
The Technical Production Director at Hall of Fame Village (the “Destination”), a subsidiary of the publicly traded Hall of Fame Resort & Entertainment Company (the “Company” / NASDAQ: HOFV, HOFVW), will be responsible for the technical management of events at the Hall of Fame Village. This position will report directly to the Vice President of Operations.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:
- Maintain list of freelance production technicians to hire for events
- Recruit, hire and manage in-house production staff as needed
- Cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with production service and materials vendors and suppliers
- Maintain current knowledge base of industry developments and standards
- Develop and deploy Technical Production Internship Programs
- Serve as liaison and on-site contact with external production companies and event producers
- Offer Sales, Partnerships and Marketing Support such as ideation, budgeting & feasibility, IT compliance, capacity management, and debrief/post-event report
- Process documentation for technical operations, including IT approval (where applicable)
- Resource management outputs (interdepartmental visibility)
- Manage production systems maintenance and management
o DirectTV, AV, digital signage, Samsung, Ross, Yamaha, QSC, etc.
- Maintain IT-established asset tracking
- Maintain IT-established responsibility matrix (including outsourced responsibilities)
- Manage outsourced service providers for asset support
- Reporting and respond to IT & operational requests and needs
- Provide documentation of workflow as requested and required
- Establish reporting on Key Performance Indicators
- Handle design build of video/audio production

Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Desired Qualifications:
- Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
- Combined minimum of 8 years in television, concert, theater and/or event production.
- Understanding of the infrastructure at the HOFV Campus strongly preferred.
- Experience interfacing multiple broadcasters with various transmission methods with stadium facilities.
- Experience recruiting, hiring and managing live and video production teams, both union and non-union.
- Experience in operating all areas of production facilities including but not limited to digital audio mixers, video switchers, video shading stations, instant replay systems, IPTV distribution platforms, etc.
- Solid team skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment; must possess a strong ability for effective time management and task prioritization.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Able to act as client (internal and external) facing liaison for large projects.
- Able to simultaneously manage a high-level of detail across multiple projects and events.
- Able to demonstrate flexibility and quickly adapt to changes while maintaining high levels of productivity and effectiveness under pressure.
- Able to balance internal priorities with client expectations and needs.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (nights, weekends & holidays as necessary).
- Must be available to work in Canton, Ohio.
Physical Requirements for Position:
- The ability to lift up to 20-25 pounds regularly.
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain, steps, or in construction zones.
- The ability to see and respond to hazardous situations.
- The ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time as required for the position.
- The ability to work in various Ohio weather conditions while assisting with events
