Detailed Position Information
The Culverhouse School of Accountancy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of instructor beginning August 16, 2025.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate accounting classes and/or other courses as assigned per semester. Responsibilities also include service to the School of Accountancy, College of Business, and University as needed to further advance the program and its curriculum. Candidates with either an academic or professional business and/or accounting background are welcome to apply. Practitioner applicants should be active in their field, have professional experience, and regularly attend professional conferences.
This is a non-tenure earning position renewable for three-year periods at the discretion of the University with no expectation of continued employment beyond any three-year contract period. Salary is competitive.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates should have CPA Certification and a master’s degree in accounting or a closely related field and a minimum of five years of accounting-related work experience. Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach a variety of accounting classes, including introductory accounting classes, accounting information systems classes, and cost accounting classes.
