Food Machines, a Division of the ITW/Hobart Food Equipment Group is interviewing to hire a Test & Reliability Lab Lead within our Technology Center located in Troy, Ohio. 

Summary

As a Test & Reliability Lab Lead you will be empowered and given ownership to support our testing team’s efforts, you will supervise our lab team while being hands-on with testing product, you will maintain & continually improve lab  Quality Management System procedures, lab scheduling, training of employees, development and creation of test methods, test procedures, test plans, test timelines, support electro-mechanical designs, design-build fixtures, complete test data, and reporting documentation to support the verification, validation and reliability testing of Food Machines products for NPD (New Product Development), CEP (Customer Engineered Product), and Sustaining (Currently Released Product). You will provide supervision, support and implementation of programs that will ensure success, focus and execution to drive profitable growth, while empowering everyone to achieve established goals, objectives, and test timelines to meet our ITW/Hobart Food Machines growth plans and initiatives.

What You Will Do

• Empowered to support lab personnel, co-workers, engineers, and managers to solve complex opportunities and technical challenges by utilizing problem solving tools, experience, expertise, and skills to support our world class customer product quality. This will be supported by the use and involvement within our QMS prints/drawings, schematics, schedules, work instructions, procedures, specifications, capacities, designs, analysis systems, tracking & reporting tools.
• You will utilize your skills & knowledge to develop, implement & maintain clear and concise product test plans and reporting through data analysis and documentation for review with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, and others while conforming to defined standards and practices.
• Supervise the collaboration of work with appropriate timelines and personnel including marketing managers, engineers, technicians, vendors, and manufacturing employees to ensure that the solutions developed meets the needs of the respective project(s).
• Provide support and leadership to our T&R Lab Team in conformance to standard operating practices and procedures. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title. 
• You will lead the development and sustaining of all equipment & supporting systems including, but not limited to, test requests, scheduling, detailed test plans, meeting with cross-functional teams to ensure quality, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of project completion.
• Further develops project planning tools (Design Verification Plan & Report- DVP&R) used to create schedules for projects and understanding of UL standards that may apply to FM products, making it easy to use, data is transparent across all functions and results are communicated with risk & reward in mind for all interested parties throughout the organization.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

• High School Diploma-GED or Vocational Trade School, Certification in relevant fields a plus, bachelor’s degree-preferred
• Or 10+ years of combined experience- (Technician-Service-Project Supervision-Electro-Mechanical-Project Lead), Testing Background, Food Machine Equipment, Service Background is a plus, or a combination of experience in the above fields to demonstrate your mechanical & electrical abilities.
