Purpose:
The Sioux Falls Human Resources team is a core group of professionals who support the Production team through staffing and managing of all employee-related tasks. The HR Coordinator will work closely with the Human Resources Manager in the following functional areas: recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, site communication and event planning, policy formation and implementation, payroll and benefits administration and employment law compliance and records maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assists with recruiting, interviewing and staffing and training needs
- Coordinates onboarding tasks and new-hire orientation process
- Maintains and audits confidential records and employee files
- Assists with benefit administration, timekeeping and payroll
- Facilitates recognition programs
- Coordinates site-wide communication channels
- Serves as a point of contact for employees for all human resource-related tasks and questions
- Manages purchasing process for office supply needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years of human resources experience or equivalent required
- Direct human resources experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability in problem solving and conflict resolution
- Knowledge of employment law and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Microsoft Office products
