This is a JG-5 level, individual contributor role who is responsible for defining and designing multi-tenant, SaaS product architectures across STS. Act as a principal architectural and technical advisor, work closely with highly opinionated and experienced engineers across the division to continuously improve the product architecture to meet evolving business needs.

Essential job duties

• Define the high-level structure of a software system, including its main components, their interfaces, and interactions.

• Make critical decisions about the tools, coding standards, and platforms to be used.

• Partner with product managers and development leads to envision, model and design the software system.

• Regularly engage in code reviews to ensure design quality and avoid accidental complexity in implementation.

• Partner with developers to develop high-level specifications with attention to ease of integration with other subsystems in the ecosystem.

• Consistently measure the system architectures against best practices, identify areas for improvement and work with the product team for addressing the shortcomings.

• Responsible for architecture/technical community development and nurturing.

• Responsible for architecture and design alignment across products and projects.

Architecture skills

• Proficiency in designing scalable, resilient systems and understanding architectural patterns is crucial.

• Solid understanding and experience with Silo, Pool and Bridge SaaS architecture patterns.

• Experience in architecting constructs, libraries, reusable assets to accelerate larger scale development.

• Experience in architecting products with tenant isolation, data partitioning, noisy neighbors’ considerations for multi-tenant SaaS products.

• Deep knowledge of programming languages, development frameworks, and infrastructure is essential.

• Understanding the business context and aligning technology strategies with business goals is essential.

• Effective communication, storytelling with developers and leadership is essential.

Technical skills

• Hands on experience in building and operationalizing multi-tenant SaaS products in cloud (AWS).

• Proficiency in Golang.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and React.

• Proficiency in AWS a REQUIREMENT

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is MUST

Educational requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study AND Six (6) Years of experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field of study AND Ten (10) Years of experience
