Position Description
Title: Digital Process Specialist I
Department: DPEG (Digital Process Enhancement Group)
Immediate Supervisor: Director of Controls & Digital Integration
Status: Exempt Salaried
Position Purpose: The Digital Process Specialist I will drive IPGs Digital Transformation Initiatives and Application Maturity within each facility. This individual will help act as a bridge between IT/OT and Operational Business Units, using technology to optimize, automate, and transform workflows supporting digital needs of the Process Engineering Specialist Group to enhance safety, quality, and efficiencies in IPG’s everyday production.

Principle Accountabilities
• Develop / Enhance digital visual communication dashboards with data rich AI driven information for “At Machine Health Centers”
• Generate Tag Based “Data Dictionaries” for each machine / asset as the Enterprise Analytics Application is scaled.
• Develop, Score, and conduct Digital Training Courses for individuals / facilities utilizing our Enterprise Analytics Application
• Develop Skills to maintain IPGs typical SCADA applications and 97+ servers.
• Work with Process Engineering Specialists to support the “mining” of data and uncovering potential value opportunities.
• Understand and design ways to “digitize” our Leader Standard Work procedures where applicable.
◦ This includes automating standard manufacturing or environmental reporting practices.
• Develop short and long-term goals for facilities to ensure their participation with Digital Analytics and advance their maturity levels.
• Work as a team with process groups to develop and implement production methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Work as a team with the process group to Investigate and provide mitigation practices for manufacturing process problems.
◦ Support IPGs Lighthouse Projects with Digital Twins to automate these types of mitigation practices.
• As required, establish working relationships with outside personnel to meet project objectives.
• Become knowledgeable of current products, processes, equipment, and procedures to apply to process and equipment analysis.
• Maintain detailed records and orderly files on all assigned projects.
• Support the process team to evaluate equipment problems and design requirements of new or modified equipment.
• Prepare and distribute periodic project status reports.
◦ Track and present “spotlight” wins where analytics have made overall impacts to speed, yield, quality, or other.
• Help support the Process Engineering Groups to coach operating personnel to reduce waste generation.
• Help support investigations and mitigation practices with work-in-process problems.
• Support the design and development of a “Connected Worker” platform. This will involve understanding current states, then digitizing, developing / improving, implementing, and communicating work instructions, procedures and other documentation as necessary to support work responsibilities for front line workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Essential Skills and Experience
• BS degree in computer science, industrial engineering or other technical field.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated commitment in executing detailed Digital Practices.
• Desire to grow and stay on the forefront of technology.
• Must be able to collaborate and work with cross functional teams to drive problem solving scrums.
• Must be able to discuss and demonstrate correlations of “modeled data” and derive plausible correlations to make tangible enhancements to a host of machine and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledgeable with many software’s such as: AutoCAD, Visio, MS-Office, AI/ML Software such as JMP.
• Show experience with working with SQL and SSRS reports as well as Power BI Desktop.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills.
• Solid data analytics skills with a Digital Mindset.
• Understanding of advanced analytics, AI/ML, & IIOT.
