Job Description
Turner and Townsend are seeking a Associate Director Construction QA/QC Manager CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) to join our team. This individual will be responsible for leading our QA/QC team for a large scale battery manufacturing facility. This individual will plan and conduct activities concerned with the quality assurance and quality control of construction contractors, overseeing work put in place to ensure industrial processes, materials and products by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works under the direction of the client Project Director to provide Quality Control Systems Management and Oversight on a large-scale manufacturing construction project.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of CSA construction phase.
- Monitor and review the execution of Civil, Structural, and Architectural work and the respective team including procurement and report progress to the client.
- Onsite at all times during construction with desk time required for compiling regular reports and reviewing them with the client.
- Responsible for overall management of Construction Quality Control on behalf of the client.
- Authority to act in all quality control matters for the client.
- Review and approve all construction contractor quality control reports.
- Follow up on all quality non-conformances to ensure that issues are addressed and corrected in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes and project specifications.
- Collaborate with the construction manager and client project engineer to obtain necessary approvals and sign offs on all corrective actions.
- Overall responsibility and oversight for quality aspects of the project, including management of all quality control processes and reporting.
- Responsible for inspection and acceptance of equipment delivered to the site.
- This role requires moving around the construction site to ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications
- Document all Civil, Structural, and Architectural field activities.
- Identify Civil, Structural, and Architectural related risks and develop mitigation plans.
- SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Qualifications
- BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
- A Masters Degree in Engineering or Construction Management is a plus
- Minimum of 10 years of applicable construction and engineering experience
- Completion of the Construction Quality Management for contractor course within the last five (5) years, or the ability and willingness to obtain the CQM for Contractors course certification within 90 days of onboarding.
- Verifiable experience as an approved Construction Quality Control Manager on projects
- Knowledge of and proven delivery on civil and structural works.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Demonstrated planning, problem solving, data analysis, blueprint reading, organizing, inter-personal, and communication skills with proven leadership skills and decision-making abilities.
