About Us
Scenthound is on a mission to make routine dog care simple and accessible. We're not just grooming dogs. We're building a movement for healthier, happier pups and a connected community of dog lovers. Our focus is preventative care, consistent customer experience, and creating an environment where both dogs and people thrive.

About the Opportunity
This is not a traditional retail management role. You will lead one of the founding Scenters in Scenthound's South Sound Washington expansion — working directly with ownership to open, operate, and grow the University Place location as part of a planned multi-location build-out across the South Sound and Vancouver regions.

In the short term, you will fully own the performance of the University Place Scenter, including pre-opening hiring, training, and community pre-sale execution. As additional locations open — Lacey, Puyallup, Bonney Lake, Lake Tapps, and Vancouver — high-performing Scenter Managers are positioned to grow into Area Manager roles with responsibility across multiple stores. Long term, this role is designed for someone who wants to help build a 7+ location business and grow into senior leadership alongside ownership.

Our Core Values
  • Dog First — We advocate for the health and well-being of every dog in our care.
  • One Pack — We trust, respect, and support one another.
  • Bring Love — We bring good energy to our work and lead with kindness.
  • Seek Growth — We believe. We learn. We grow.
  • Make a Difference — We are purpose-driven and strive to leave things better than we found them.
The Role
As Scenter Manager, you'll own your store's performance — from team development and customer satisfaction to revenue growth and membership sales. You'll lead from the front, setting the tone for service excellence while meeting (and exceeding) key business goals.

This role combines sales strategy, people leadership, and operational execution — perfect for someone who is confident in influencing others, measuring results, and turning great experiences into long-term members.

This position requires -
  • Management experience
  • Customer service experience (retail, restaurant)
  • Strength to lift up to 70 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
Who We Are Looking For
We are searching for a confident manager who leads with integrity, honesty, and compassion. A successful Scenter Manager is an independent problem solver, adaptable, detail-oriented, and compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a HANDS-ON leader who can manage the day-to-day operations of the Scenter with an emphasis on critical KPIs: Labor Efficiency Ratio (LER), Average Ticket Price, Rebook Ratio, Retention Rate and Lead Conversion.

  • Train and motivate your team to confidently educate every customer on Scenthound memberships and services.
  • Partner with ownership to execute local marketing and community outreach initiatives.
  • Champion the pre-sale and grand opening process — converting early interest into active memberships.
Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and inspire your team to achieve sales and service excellence.
  • Create a positive, competitive environment that celebrates wins and encourages accountability.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train team members on both operations and sales best practices.
  • Drive employee development through structured coaching, training, and performance reviews.
