JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The Department of Entomology in the College of Agricultural Sciences is seeking applicants for a part-time job of Summer Research Technologist.

Job duties include:

• Investigate the natural history of gall wasps on trailing blackberry
• Develop the system as a model for studying gall evolution. Galls are abnormal growths on plants that form in response to stimuli from an insect. There are many unknowns regarding the biology of gall induction, and this project seeks to create a foundation to advance our knowledge of gall wasps.
   

Requirements, qualifications, and/or competencies:

• Willingness to learn new skills

• Familiarity with Excel

• Proficiency with Pipetting

• Attention to detail

Compensation:

The rate for this job is $15/hr.
