About the role
The Junior Cybersecurity & Desktop Support Analyst is a hybrid role responsible for ensuring the reliability and security of desktop, laptop, tablet, and peripheral systems while supporting cybersecurity operations across the organization. This individual will respond to end-user technical support requests, assist with network and endpoint troubleshooting, and contribute to the ongoing protection of corporate systems and data by monitoring alerts, escalating incidents, and supporting daily cybersecurity operations. Salary Range $29.00 - $36.00 per hour. Primary Roles & Responsibilities: IT Support Functions:
- Maintain, analyze, and repair hardware, network, wireless and software systems.
- Respond to tickets and troubleshoot and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Maintain an adequate level of knowledge of operating systems and application software being used to provide high levels of support to users.
- Assist in gathering bid prices on equipment and supplies as needed.
- Support and enforce information technology (IT) policies.
- Set up and configure new systems, new applications, and upgrades.
- Manage user account information, permissions, and rights including groups.
- Perform basic network troubleshooting for wired/wireless LAN and escalate to network lead for analysis where appropriate.
- Reports to the Infrastructure & Security Manager
- Other duties as assigned
Cybersecurity Functions:
- Monitor security tools such as endpoint protection platforms, email security systems, and DNS filtering services.
- Support vulnerability management tasks by tracking findings and ensuring endpoint remediation.
- Respond to phishing simulations, user-reported incidents, and support awareness training initiatives.
- Assist in incident detection and escalation by analyzing alerts and system logs.
- Support IT compliance activities by documenting endpoint patching, software inventory, and policy exceptions.
- Assist in the enforcement and communication of cybersecurity policies and best practices.
Basic Qualifications:
- CompTIA A+ certification
- CompTIA Network+ certification
- CompTIA Security+ certification
- Strong troubleshooting skills are desired
- Excellent writing/documentation, communication, analysis and organizational skills required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- ITIL4 Foundation Certificate
- Microsoft Technology Associate certification

- Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
- Ability to work independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
- Has good communication and reasoning skills
