Our growing Therapeutic Specialty Court (TSC) team is looking for an additional TSC Probation Services Specialist to help support TSC program and its logistics.

* This is a project position, currently funded through June 30, 2025. It is anticipated that the funding will be extended beyond this date.*

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

Equivalent to the completion of twelfth grade supplemented by additional specialized training in criminal justice, law enforcement, social science or a related field;

Two years of experience in work involving public contact, at least one year of which is in the criminal justice system or a closely related field.

Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.

Success in this position requires:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of probation practices and techniques, including interviewing offenders and verifying client information though calls and emails.

  • Ability to effectively communicate program expectations by conveying detailed information and addressing program-related questions and concerns.

  • Effective communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills and ability to form professional relationships and networks that support the Court’s operations.

  • Innovative mindset and ability to seek efficiencies in all processes and department’s resources.

  • Experience with maintaining confidentiality of restricted information and private records, and effectively handling sensitive matters.

  • Consistently producing high quality work product, with components of high accuracy, timeliness, and organization.

  • Ability to advance organizational strategic initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice.
