Recursion Pharmaceuticals is at the forefront of the integration of data, AI, and an industrialized approach to significantly reduce costs, accelerate timelines, and increase the likelihood of success in developing new medicines. We are seeking a DMPK project representative to drive both internal and partnership projects in drug discovery and early development. You will provide expert DMPK guidance for projects from hit identification, hit-to-lead, lead optimization, candidate profiling, to IND and beyond. As a DMPK project representative, you will:
- Collaborate closely with project teams to resolve ADME/PK challenges, facilitating the discovery and development of high-quality clinical candidates
- Drive project progression from initial discovery through clinical development, playing a key role in Recursion’s scientific and strategic initiatives
- Partner with AI and machine learning experts to develop and leverage state of the art predictive and computational tools to expedite ADME/PK property optimization efforts
- Collaborate with project teams to define and execute DMPK strategy, producing comprehensive IND-enabling data packages including translational plans, human dose projections, DDI liability assessments, and input for Phase 1 clinical design
- Support and mentor junior scientists on project teams and within DMPK
The Team You’ll Join
You will join the DMPK team, a comprehensive end-to-end organization dedicated to influencing every phase of drug discovery and development. The team is committed to leveraging translational strategies early in discovery projects to accelerate candidate selection and clinical development. You will work closely with colleagues in Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biology, Clinical Pharmacology, Toxicology, data scientists and others.
The Experience You’ll Need
- PhD or PharmD with 5+ years of experience as a DMPK project representative or subject matter expert in drug discovery and development, or MS with 7+ years of experience in drug discovery and development within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry
- In-depth experience as a DMPK project representative across key stages of drug discovery and development, including hit-to-lead, lead optimization, candidate selection, IND/IB preparation, and early clinical development
- Extensive and broad expertise in ADME assays, pharmacokinetics (PK), drug–drug interactions (DDI, TDI, induction), clearance mechanisms (metabolism, renal, biliary), drug-metabolizing enzymes, transporters, oral absorption, disposition, human PK and dose prediction, as well as PK/PD and PBPK modeling and simulations
- Utilize modeling and simulation tools, as well as in silico ADME models, to guide compound prioritization, optimization, and project advancement
- Experience preparing regulatory submissions (e.g., INDs, Investigator’s Brochures) and addressing regulatory agency inquiries
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and organizational skills applied within fast-paced project teams to accelerate the progression of drug discovery programs
- Proven track record of effective collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated experience mentoring and guiding others

Working Location & Compensation
This is an office-based, hybrid role in our New York City, NY office. Employees are expected to work in the office at least 50% of the time. At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is: $195,700 - $256,500.
You will also be eligible for an annual bonus and equity compensation, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
