About the job

The Human Resource team is looking for a Human Resource Business Partner to provide coaching, support and influence that enable the business to effectively deliver their people plans in the achievement of both business and HR strategies. The HRBP partners with leaders and provides a consultancy service that delivers advice and support to managers and employees on all HR-related areas including performance management, career planning, leadership development & coaching, talent acquisition, total rewards/compensation, and policy interpretation in conjunction with specialist HR functions. The HRBP, although based in Sweden will be part of the Northern Europe HR team and EMEA-AP HR organization, with an opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the wider region on key projects that drive our business performance and employee engagement.

 

As a Human Resource Business Partner, you will:

 

  • Country HRBP role for Sweden and Norway, potential responsibilities for supporting wider functions within SAS.
  • Responsibility for the HR activities and manager guidance in Sweden and Norway.
  • Deliver a consultancy service that provides expert advice and support to managers and employees on various HR-related areas.
  • Collaborate as a proactive member of the Northern Europe HR team to deliver value-add projects that enhance our employee experience and drive continuous improvement.
  • Act as a pragmatic and proactive HR enthusiast, demonstrating a genuine passion for providing coaching and mentorship to employees and managers across a variety of functions.
  • Enable the business to effectively execute their people plans, aligning them with both business and HR strategy within the team.
  • Collaborate with HR specialist teams in developing and implementing employee programs and initiatives across SAS, including wellbeing diversity and inclusion and early careers.
  • Partner with managers to resolve employee relations issues; provide guidance on performance improvement and conduct-related matters.
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, facilitate conflict resolution at all levels, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Develop and deliver presentations on HR-related topics to different stakeholders across the business.
  • Support and manage operations and administration activities as needed.
  • Act as a partner to HR related benefit partners.
  • Role will be based in Sweden with travel to Norway, as required.

 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in professional human resources experience handling a variety of responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Human Resources or Business Administration.
  • In-house experience working as an HR Business Partner in a complex matrix organisation.
  • Have a generalist HRBP background.
  • Good understanding of Swedish employment legislation, it is an advantage to have Norwegian employment legislation.
  • Adaptable to changing organisational needs.
  • Eagerness to learn, with a passion for people and employee development.
  • Great problem-solving skills, capable of dealing with complex issues.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure the resolution of employee problems.
  • A motivated self-starter with a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Swedish and English, with a good understanding and ability to verbally communicate in Norwegian.
  • Equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in place of the above qualifications.
