Senior Network & Security Engineer (m/f/d)

<p>The department AGN Service Delivery and Improvement is responsible for the design, engineering, implementation and operations of global network and network security services in the scope of the Allianz Global Network (AGN) as well as the global data centers of Allianz Group. Together with a group of selected partner companies, the department delivers stable and reliable services in the areas of networking and network security, comprising Firewalls and Proxies, VPN/Remote Access, Partner connectivity, IP Services, DC LAN, WAN and Office LAN/WiFi. If you share these success criteria, then AGN services with a long history and successful present will offer you an interesting future.</p> <p> </p> <p>You will </p> <ul> <li>Oversee the operational stability and service quality of the AGN provided solutions with focus on prevention, proactive Monitoring and Automation.</li> <li>Debug problems in complex interdependent production systems as part of the AGN Site Reliability Engineering Team and derive action for prevention of network infrastructure outages, coordinating the engagement of other AGN engineering teams as needed</li> <li>Proactively review performance and utilization across AGN services and get involvement into incident, problem and crisis management to support with first response and help with the RCA</li> <li>Continuous improvement and enhancement of existing Monitoring solutions and deployment of a scalable, automated and well-documented end-to-end monitoring solution , logging and reporting for our services</li> <li>Cooperation with and supervision of Allianz Technology strategic partners and vendors in the areas of global networks, data centers and security, escalation engineering and contact management towards the partners, customers and other Allianz Technology units</li> <li>Collaborate with Network Architecture Engineering teams to automate processes, and aid in capacity planning and changes to network architecture</li> <li>Review documentation of all deliverables, solutions, systems, infrastructure, processes and procedures as well as development and composition of new concepts, architectures and solutions Knowledge transfer to operations team in India and other Allianz Technology locations for the continuous improvement of operational stability</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Your skills</p> <ul> <li>University degree in computer engineering or information technology or solid hands-on experience in IT and Network</li> <li>Excellent proficiency and professional skills with implementing and maintaining solutions for monitoring and alerting (e.g., Elastic Stack, Prometheus, Grafana, etc), telemetry,  programming skills for automation, (e.g. Python), Know Infrastructure as Code software (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Kubernets ) </li> <li>Experience of technologies, products, hard- and software of Network and Network Security, such as Cisco ACI, Network Automation, Cloud Technologies, Routers, Switches, Load Balancers and Firewall.  </li> <li>Cisco Certification and Cloud Certifications in particular, but also other vendors desired. </li> <li>Knowledge of Linux-based server systems and Network Monitoring fundamentals</li> <li>Availability for on-call service , escalation and able to handle high work peaks caused by major incidents</li> <li>Beneficial would be experience with end to end monitoring tools and technologies like Software Defined WAN and Cisco DNA and ISE and WiFi. </li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge and experience with scripting in the network field would be very beneficial.  </li> <li> Driving change and innovation, result orientation, reliability, even under pressure</li> <li>Ability to work in a team, fostering relationships, customer focused, adaptability in dynamic, changing environments</li> <li>Fluent in spoken and written English.
