<p>For over 70 years, Bechtel has been at the forefront of nuclear innovation delivering clean, reliable energy worldwide on over 150 nuclear power plants, adding more than 74,000 megawatts of nuclear generation capacity to the world. <p>Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. </p>

<h2>Job Summary:</h2>
<p>This role will support design development Structural engineering designs for the project by preparing studies, drawings, calculations, specifications, and evaluations, in accordance with applicable procedures, codes, standards, and contract requirements. Work with other Structural engineers and technical disciplines in a team environment.</p>
<p>This position will be based in Warsaw office.</p>
<h2>Major Responsibilities:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Originate and check complex structural engineering deliverables, such as steel and concrete calculations and specifications.</li>
<li>Reviews and coordinates technical documents with/from other engineering disciplines.</li>
<li>Prepare technical reports relates to specific design issues.</li>
<li>Manage specifically assigned project activities.</li>
<li>Provides technical direction to designers and less experienced engineers as directed.</li>
<li>Assist in constructability reviews.</li>
<li>Contacts counterpart in other disciplines, supplier/client representatives and project field personnel when directed, to either gather or give information.</li>
<li>Schedule and coordinate off-project review requirements for engineering deliverables.</li>
<li>Lead and/or participate in technical discussions with client, suppliers, construction, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare conceptual studies, designs, reports, or proposals.</li>
<li>Analyze structures using GTSTRUDL or STAAD.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a team and providing support as needed</li>
<li>Other duties, as assigned</li>

<h2>Education and Experience Requirements:</h2>
<ul>
<li>Requires a bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (or related) from accredited university and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience</li>
<li>Must be authorized to live and work in country without sponsorship. </li>
<li>Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.</li>
<li>Possess active security clearance or ability to obtain security clearance.</li>
