About the Position:

The Virginia State Police (VSP) is seeking to hire a Program Support Technician Senior in our Criminal Justice Information Services Division at our Administrative Headquarters in North Chesterfield, Virginia. The successful candidate will conduct legal research, inquiries, and analysis by compiling Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry documentation on sex offender registrations/re-registrations for testimonial evidence for custodian of record and commonwealth attorneys ensuring compliance with Sections 9.1-900 through 9.1-918, Code of Virginia.

Minimum Qualifications

Working knowledge of general office practices and procedures. Skill in using a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications, and keyboarding. Demonstrated ability to research and analyze information and make logical decisions based on policies, procedures, and laws; perform research on questionable data by applying established procedures from training and learn laws regarding registration requirements; apply general knowledge of computer formatted functions, state, federal codes and regulation; exercise independent judgment and apply prescribed policies, procedures; follow written and verbal instructions, and pay close attention to details; work independently and as part of a team; and communicate effectively orally and in writing in English.
