Resolute Forest Products' Calhoun mill, founded in 1954, is a leading producer of paper towel and tissue products for some of the largest retailers in the United States. With the recent expansion of its tissue operation at the Calhoun facility, along with additional manufacturing and converting facilities in Florida and Maryland, Resolute has created a competitive integrated tissue business that serves the North American market. In 2018, the company invested $20 million to build a new Tissue Distribution Center, further enhancing its capabilities and commitment to meeting the needs of its customers.

 

Our Calhoun location (in Tennessee) is currently seeking talent to fill the position of Shift Supervisor, Tissue Converting. Position will be responsible to provide a very high level of coordination, cooperation, and communication with their natural (shift) team and the various Operations Managers with responsibility for safe and effective shift-to-shift management, focused on consistent operation of the Tissue Converting operations and managing operational activities. Position will be an advocate for the employee, providing coaching and mentoring both professionally and personally, as well as be an advocate for the company, representing its best interest in the operation of the facility and production processes.

           Mechanical Maintenance Planner

 

Reports to:   Engineering & Maintenance Manager

 

Roles:

• To plan and schedule maintenance work for execution by in-house and contract technicians, to track performance of the assigned assets and crews, and to maintain accurate records in the CMMS and equipment files.
• A leader, an administrator and a communicator
• Improves maintenance effectiveness by eliminating delays and obstacles through proper planning of spare parts, materials and equipment
• Promotes a safe working environment and safe work practices.
• Plans major repairs.

• Plans work for quality and efficiency and contribute to the effective utilization of the maintenance budget.
• Maintains information to permit meaningful analysis of results and work completed.
• Participates in the Maintenance Staff Weekend Duty On-Call Rotation

 

Knowledge and experience:

• Ability to effectively communicate with people in maintenance crafts, operations, engineers, contractors and management.
• Is self-motivated and able to work on multiple tasks with little or no supervision—this includes special attention to details.
• Interact and solicit involvement from all maintenance crafts people.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software – Word, Excel, Project
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to determine resources required for preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Must assess equipment needs and determine best maintenance practices required to insure reliability and predictability of equipment.
• Knowledge of Safety procedures and standards – ability to recognize hazards and needs of performing different job tasks (example LOTO, Rigging/Heavy Lift, Hot Work, etc.).
