Job Description

We are searching for a Team Lead to take ownership of Enpal’s material planning and build a specialized team that will make full use of our ERP’s (Microsoft Dynamics365) planning functions, as well as of SCM data analytics to optimize inventory and purchase planning. For this purpose, material planning is embedded in the SCM Data team. The candidate needs to be data driven, with very strong material planning and supply chain knowledge. The perfect candidate has started their career in a hardware focused company with a complex international supply chain. They’re an independent thinker, seasoned material planner and is also bringing data skills to the table.

• Be responsible for Enpal’s material planning across a global supply chain, multiple markets, and various business units.
• Build, lead and grow a team of material planning specialists, embedded in the Supply Chain data team, for data-driven inventory management and purchase planning.
• Apply analytics and supply chain expertise to identify and prevent potential material shortages while plan for most efficient stock levels.
• Partner with Data & BI teams to develop and improve Demand Forecasting models, and continuously evaluate their performance through KPI reporting.
• Manage planning system parameters and make full use of both D365’s planning capabilities and Enpal’s data infrastructure.
• Collaborate with procurement and controlling to enable cash-flow efficient buying.
• Work closely with hardware-engineering and the product department to always plan one step ahead in terms of hardware for one of Germany’s fastest growing businesses.
• Support decision-making through what-if and scenario planning for a supply chain spanning multiple countries, warehouses, and installation hubs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in an analytical discipline (Supply Chain Management, business management, economics or equivalent). ​
• At least 5 years’ experience in material planning or inventory management within manufacturing or supply chain management.
• Previous leadership experience, ideally of an international team.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP with a solid understand of material flows, bills of material, inventory management and supply chain operations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership.
• Outstanding problem solving and communication skills, across different hierarchical levels.
• Humble, strong work ethic, analytical & data driven, rapid learner, independent, flexible, high level of integrity.
• Fluent in written and spoken English, and at least intermediate level in German.
• Plus: Advanced knowledge of MS Dynamics365 and Tableau.
