You will design and develop limited-time apparel and accessories assortments, ensure aesthetic and brand alignment, and work cross-functionally with the Home team to create cohesive multi-category partnership experiences. This role requires a blend of  visual design talent, multi- aesthetic design fluency, collaboration strength, strong communication skills, and exceptional project leadership.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Collaboration & Partner Management

  • Partner with Marketing to onboard external designers/brands once selected.

  • This role requires periodic travel to partner locations in order to foster collaboration, build strong relationships, and gather inspiration that will help shape the creative direction.
  • While our team is primarily located in Minneapolis, we’re open to remote designers who bring the right expertise and are able to maintain strong communication and partnership.

Apparel & Accessories Product Design

  • Translate partnership vision into apparel and accessory designs, including sketches, CADs, print development, color palettes, material direction, and branding elements.
  • Build and refine line architecture: SKU counts, silhouettes, size range, fabrication, seasonal needs, and price/value positioning.
  • Work closely with Technical Design, Sourcing, and Product Development to ensure quality, fit, and manufacturability align with Target standards.
  • Review samples, oversee fit intent, and drive necessary revisions throughout development.
  • Contribute to packaging, labeling, and branding  process to ensure elements align with the collaboration’s overall creative direction.

Cross-Functional Leadership & Execution

  • Work with Merchandising partners to align product design with the assortment strategy and financial goals.
  • Partner with Marketing and Creative teams to influence campaign visuals and storytelling that connect seamlessly to the apparel & accessories collection.
  • Partner with the Home design team for cross-category consistency when applicable.
  • Manage timelines and drive execution milestones from concept to pre-production to launch.
  • Lead internal design reviews, alignment sessions, and mile
