Your Career

Palo Alto Networks is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Principal Technical Program Manager to join our exciting, fast growing company. This dynamic individual will be the liaison between Software Engineering and Product Management with a focus on high quality, on-time successful releases. This position reports to the VP Operations and is based at our headquarters in Santa Clara, CA.

Your Impact

  • Drive and manage the development of AI/ML systems and subsystems from concept to launch
  • Provide program management leadership for cloud management services and products
  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of large cross-functional initiatives
  • Drive overall alignment of one source of truth for project status through dashboard improvements
  • Be the expert on release life cycle processes and champion process best practices, metrics and high quality standards with your delivery team
  • Work with Product and Engineering stakeholders to identify & manage program/project dependencies & come up with an execution plan
  • Provide clear, concise, transparent, and insightful status reporting to the team, executives, and a diverse set of stakeholders
  • Lead efforts to resolve key project dependencies and establish appropriate resolution paths
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, innovation and learning
  • Understand the systems in their program space, the limitations, scaling factors, boundary conditions, and reasons behind architectural decisions

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Career level years relevant experience in managing cloud software applications, products and services
  • Experience AI, ML, Co- Pilot Program Management
  • Knowledge and working experience on Enterprise Agile processes and tools (such as Jira Portfolio or Jira Structure)
  • Experienced in driving large cross-functional programs
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and drive issues to resolution and escalate when necessary
  • Understands and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
  • An expert in communicating and collaborating with cross-functional team members to achieve goals - contributes positively to the team and organization
  • Self-motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Proficient with applications, tools, and methodologies used to organize, manage, report progress, and deliver programs and projects
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
  • A proven track record of being highly productive
  • Ability to successfully work across multiple levels of an organization
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and able to manage multiple priorities concurrently
