This role is pivotal in translating the Design team’s creative visions into high-quality, innovative footwear products that combine luxury and technical excellence.</p><p></p><p>This role is entrusted with the full responsibility of driving, influencing, and managing complex development processes from initial concept through prototyping &amp; commercialization, ensuring meticulous attention to luxury standards, precision, and superior functionality and fit.</p><p></p><p>Critical to success is effective calendar management as well as seamless collaboration and communication with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional products that meet strategic objectives.</p><p></p><p><b>About The Role:</b></p><ul><li>Lead, manage, and influence the development of footwear styles from concept to commercialization, integrating innovation at all stages to optimize efficiency and quality</li><li>Collaborate closely with Design as a co-creation partner and subject matter expert to develop and refine detailed tech packs, including specifications, material callouts, and assembly instructions</li><li>Source and evaluate advanced materials and components (e.g., outsoles, midsole foams, upper fabrics) to meet design, performance, and durability requirements.</li><li>Apply knowledge to help Design select optimal materials for various footwear functions such as cushioning, breathability, and foot support</li><li>Integrate technologies (e.g., cushioning systems, waterproof membranes) into product designs in conjuction with vendors and QA</li><li>Drive innovation by staying on the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements.</li></ul><ul><li>Oversee the creation of prototypes, ensuring they meet established standards, design intent, and calendar deliverables.</li><li>Conduct fit trails and analyze results (e.g., physical fitting sessions, virtual fitting technology, wear tests) to ensure optimal fit, comfort, and performance.</li><li>Communicate required pattern adjustments and construction techniques based on fit test results and user feedback.</li><li>Identify and champion opportunities to reduce sampling and lead times using technologies available from vendors</li><li>Develop detailed product specifications through accurate Tech Packs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in manufacturing processes.</li><li>Compile all raw material and construction specifications in order to create/manage Bill of Materials (BOM) to optimize production accuracy and streamline material sourcing ordering.</li><li>Collaborate strategically with Design, Sourcing, Vendors and Quality teams to achieve commercialization and exceed quality goals.</li><li>Collaborate with Sourcing and Finance to conduct cost analysis and margin assessment, balancing design integrity and functionality to meet financial targets effectively.</li><li>Maintain alignment with product calendars, providing transparent status updates and risk analysis to key stakeholders.</li><li>Support Quality Assurance and Sourcing in resolving production issues promptly and efficiently.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives through feedback sharing.</li><li>Collaborate closely with Merchandising and Product Education teams to ensure accurate product information and alignment with market needs.</li><li>Collaborate, partner, and align with other Product Developers to ensure consistency across product type (i.e. construction standards, process, and sharing of best practices)</li><li>Maintain all of the product information systems ensuring excellent data quality to inform all releveant parties</li><li>Order development samples for internal use &amp; wear tests</li><li>Monitor and track development samples and invoices</li><li>Communicate with vendors on day to day basis to solve R&amp;D issues, and troubleshoot and potential bulk issues.</li><li>Cultivate industry knowledge and continually evaluate competitors to c
