Samples Project Manager

Stanton is hiring for a Samples Project Manager. This position is a pivotal part of the success of our sample production process and manages a few key segments of the process for an integrated team. This position routinely helps to set up work orders for any of the next steps in the process and tracks these to provide visibility to the company. This position looks at inventory and historical sales to plan internal production for swatches and/or internally made cut samples, and sees these through the entire process, ensuring stock reaches the shelves for shipping to the customer.


Responsibilities:

Planning and project management of sample work orders

Daily tracking of work in process (WIP) and assignment of WIP to work areas

Planning of express and swatch work orders with tracking and follow-up

Order entry for samples as needed

Works with floor leader to manage and allocate personnel resources to accomplish projects in a timely manner

Works with Vendors daily to manage projects, keeping them on schedule and/or providing visibility to current project and workloads

Once trained, creates Bill of Materials (BOM) for sample SKUs associated with Sample Projects


Key Skills for Success:

Strongly self-motivated to succeed

Project Management (not necessarily with traditional PM tools)

Strong time management skills

Strong follow-up and attention to detail

Good knowledge of MS Excel

Understanding of concepts of Bill of Materials and manufacturing components (carpet sample experience is a plus, but not required)

Previous experience with AS400/CAMS is a plus

Understanding of key concepts related to planning and scheduling (lead time, constraint theory, safety stock, weeks on hand, etc)
