About the Role:

As a Technician in the Sample Lab at Videojet, you’ll be the key technical connection between our sales team and our customers.  Here’s what happens:  We have a lab full of our various printing equipment and this role sets up and runs a batch of “samples” in this lab based on customer needs.

Customer samples can be anything from beverage cans to packaging materials.  You’ll run them through our printing instruments to determine if our solutions meet their unique needs. From test setup to final reporting, you’ll see the entire process through.

You'll use your mechanical skills to operate and configure industrial printing equipment, and your communication and administrative skills to write detailed reports and collaborate with internal teams. One day it might be a project for a global food company. The next day, you're solving a challenge for a packaging client. It's structured work, but the variables keep it interesting.

What You'll Do:

  • Run application testing on customer materials using Videojet printers

  • Configure equipment settings, troubleshoot results, and make mechanical or software adjustments

  • Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports in Salesforce

  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to understand customer needs

  • Communicate clearly through email and documentation (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Occasionally send sample prints back to the customer

Why This Role is Great:
Routine + Variety – You’ll follow a process, but every request is different
Autonomy – Once trained, you’ll have flexibility in how you complete projects
Strong Team – You’ll work for a supportive manager with 13 years of company experience
Hands-On Work – Ideal for someone who likes to build, test, and solve problems

We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:

  • Mechanical aptitude – comfortable using and adjusting equipment

  • 2+ years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing setting

  • Ability to read and interpret technical info and communicate it clearly

  • Proficiency with basic admin tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • Worked with industrial printers or coding equipment

  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM/reporting tools
