Position Summary

 

As a Sr. Product Manager in J. J. Keller's Technology Solutions area on the Product Management team, you will be responsible for the overall health of the J. J. Keller® Training (online and mobile solutions) product line, including growth, profitability, and client satisfaction. The Sr. Product Manager will lead a team with 4 direct reports to include a Product Leader, Product Analysts, and a UX/UI Designer.

 

This position is also responsible for the strategic planning and launch of new product offerings for the assigned product line.

As a Sr. Product Manager, this position must operate at a strategic level, focusing on long-term plans and strategic priorities that benefit J. J. Keller as a whole.

 

In this leadership role, you can work on-site at our Neenah, WI Corporate Campus or remote from a home-based office within the Midwest Region (with travel to the Corporate Campus for on-site meetings 6x per year).

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads, develops and coaches team:
     - Provides clear expectations, feedback and recognition
     - Participates in the hiring/selection process
     - Writes and conducts performance evaluations and progress reports
     - Handles associate relations issues 
  • Delivers results in line with the following key metrics/accountabilities:
     - Strategic planning for assigned product/service roadmap
     - On time and quality delivery of launch new product/service offerings
     - Associate retention
     - Budget control 
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders and Portfolio team on the creation of a product roadmap for all product and services within the assigned product/service line(s).  
  • Performs customer / market needs analysis and manage the existing assigned line(s) by delivering product enhancements that address those needs. 
  • Develops and manages processes that transform business requirements into detailed product requirements, and leads cross functional teams in product definition and design. 
  • Develops and manages processes to create detailed product requirements that describe what features and functions need to be built. 
  • Partners with the Software Development team throughout the development process to ensure a high quality, on time delivery of features and functions that meet customer / market expectations. 
  • Ensures future service line releases reflect the experience gained from external market activities, customer discussions, usage analysis, competition, and market research. 
  • Partners with Editorial and other groups within the organization to leverage Corporate expertise in safety, compliance, and risk management to best serve customers and market needs. 
  • Monitors and communicates issues related to emerging technologies and market trends. 
  • Participates in Corporate planning initiatives to support new and existing market opportunities.
  • Collaborates with Portfolio team to ensure a sustainable, competitive product/service line.
  • Represents J. J. Keller at industry and market events to promote assigned products and services. 
  • Establishes and manages the Customer Loyalty Index for assigned products/services and creates specific plans and strategies based on periodic survey results. 
  • Carries out responsibilities in a fair, ethical and non-discriminatory manner and ensure that staff follows these same guidelines. 
  • Manages expenses in line with departmental budgets and corporate business conditions. 
  • Enforces and supports all company policies and procedures. Fully supports the company's commitment to safety and the environment and strive to maintain a clean, healthy and safe workplace. 

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or a Technology field.

Experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in a product management role in a related technology/service or product/industry.
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • 2+ years of experience in working with user interface design resources and writing/reviewing product requirements.
