Job Description

​​​Applications management involves overseeing the lifecycle of software applications, including deployment, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver value effectively. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain mission-critical pipelines and infrastructure.
• Oversee and optimize cloud-based environments in Azure with utmost precision.
• Meticulously orchestrate and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes.
• Administer and maintain all repositories and CI/CD pipelines with rigorous attention to detail.
• Swiftly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Ensure system scalability, reliability, and security to the highest standards.
• Conduct thorough analyses and provide strategic recommendations to enhance the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
• Demonstrate exemplary communication skills in all team and client interactions.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies to provision infrastructure and automate all manual processes.
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure, with the exception of production infrastructure, which is transferred to the Operations team post-initial deployment.
• Execute production deployments with precision and provide expert assistance in resolving any arising issues.
• Rigorously enforce best practices in application configuration, branching and deployment strategies, while implementing automated code quality and security scans, as well as QA test execution.
• Spearhead the migration of applications from traditional installations (IIS or Windows Services) to containers in ASEv3, Linux, and optionally Windows containers.
• Provide expert assistance to Development and QA teams in application troubleshooting and implementation of new initiatives, such as utilizing gRPC for AppService applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of extensive professional experience in  a similar role
• Demonstrated proficiency in building and managing Azure infrastructure
• Advanced expertise in utilizing Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
• Comprehensive understanding of OpenStack architecture and implementation
• Proven track record in Kubernetes deployment and management for container orchestration
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab or Jenkins
• Advanced scripting capabilities, with particular emphasis on Bash, Python, or equivalent languages
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
• Good communication abilities and capacity to work effectively in high-performance teams
