Summary of Job:
The Senior Case Manager– Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be responsible for working within the Patient Services team to support day-to-day operations via expertise in processes and systems. The Sr. Case Manager - SME will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to Kyowa Kirin Business Rules, Standard Operating Procedures, and systems operations. Additionally, this role may have responsibility for owning operational communications and processes with external vendors and partners.
Essential Functions:
- Develop Subject Matter Expertise in Business Rules and Standard Operating Procedures
- Expert in Patient Services Technology Systems functionality, user interface
- Awareness of downstream implications to data reporting as it relates to Patient Services System management
- Monitor case-level updates by other team members to ensure adherence to Patient Services standards
- Provides real-time feedback to other team members to support process, system adherence requirements
- Attends regular meetings with business and IT teams related to process, system updates
- Train team members on updates to process, system
- Assists in managing caseload in a timely and efficient manner, as defined by KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)
- Identifies trends regarding team challenges with processes, workarounds, etc.
- Support decision-making related to process, and system updates based on expertise
- Builds and maintains compliant relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including sales, market access, and specialty pharmacies to support the patient’s treatment journey
- Follows all requirements associated with compliance with program guidelines and relevant regulations, including HIPAA and patient privacy
Job Requirements:
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work-related experience
Experience
- 5+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical or biotech Patient Services
- Case Management experience required
- Rare disease experience required
Technical Skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Salesforce.com preferred
