About the Role

As a Senior Downsizing Specialist, you’ll play a vital role in helping older adults sort through a lifetime of belongings, prepare for a move, and clear out homes through donation, recycling, and estate sales. You’ll work both independently and as part of a small team in homes and senior living communities across the Bay Area.

This is a part-time, on-site role with flexible hours—perfect for students, parents, retirees, or anyone looking for engaging work that fits around other commitments. While hours are not guaranteed, we’re a growing company and hope to grow with you.

What You'll Do

• Assist with downsizing and relocation projects for seniors and their families
• Organize, sort, and pack household items for donation, recycling, or sale
• Help clients resettle and unpack in their new homes
• Catalog and photograph items for online estate sales using handheld devices
• Prepare and stage homes for estate sales
• Support customers during on-site pickups or sale days
• Safely lift and carry boxes (up to 30 lbs), often up and down stairs
• Follow safety protocols and company best practices

Note: We are not movers—professional movers handle heavy furniture and items over 30 pounds.

What We're Looking For

• Compassion and patience when working with older adults and their families
• Strong communication skills and English fluency
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in cluttered or dusty environments (we provide gloves, aprons, masks, etc.)
• Able to work in changing, fast-paced settings with minimal supervision
• Comfortable with light physical labor and able to lift up to 30 lbs
