Overview
PepsiCo is seeking a strategic and data-oriented Associate Manager, Social Strategy & Activation to join our global communications social media team. In this role, you will drive social media campaigns for PepsiCo corporate channels, partnering closely with media agencies, platform reps, and internal stakeholders to ensure our social efforts are innovative, effective, and aligned with broader business and communications goals.
In this role, you’ll bring social-first thinking to the table—partnering closely with storytelling, creative, legal, and community teams to develop and deliver strategies that breakthrough in culture while driving corporate reputation. You’ll also play a pivotal role in streamlining cross-functional workflows and mentoring junior team members to uphold best-in-class execution.
Responsibilities
Strategy Development:
- Support the creation of integrated, innovative social media strategies across key campaigns, tentpoles, and always-on efforts.
- Stay on top of platform trends, cultural insights, and audience behavior to inform strategy and inspire creative.
- Develop upper- and mid-funnel paid social strategies across key platforms (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.), in alignment with overarching brand and communications objectives.
- Provide clear briefs, creative specs, and audience guidance to ensure all assets are aligned with platform best practices and brand standards.
- Manage the social content approval process from start to finish, working closely with legal, regulatory, and brand teams to ensure brand safety and risk mitigation.
- Build and maintain efficient review workflows that support agility while upholding internal standards
Creative & Content Collaboration:
- Act as the connective tissue between strategy and creative—overseeing content calendar development and ensuring assets meet platform best practices and brand standards.
- Collaborate with the internal creative studio and external agency partners to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content.
- Manage timelines, feedback loops, and cross-functional alignment across brand, comms, and creative teams.
Activation & Execution Oversight:
- Manage campaign activations across owned social channels, ensuring accuracy and efficiency of content
- Partner with internal teams to translate campaign goals into smart content approaches, including audience targeting, platform selection, content mapping, and budget allocation.
- Manage day-to-day coordination with external agencies and partners to ensure accurate and timely campaign launches
- Troubleshoot issues during campaign setup, launch, or optimization, ensuring quality control across channels
Measurement, Reporting & Optimization:
- Partner with strategy, analytics, and media teams to track social media KPIs and ensure performance aligns with expectations
- Lead post-campaign analysis and reporting, sharing key takeaways and actionable insights with internal teams
- Maintain a pulse on platform algorithm shifts and audience behavior changes to inform future activations
Collaboration & Integration:
- Serve as the bridge between organic social, creative, and paid media teams, ensuring that storytelling is cohesive, and insights are shared cross-functionally.
- Build strong relationships with external platform reps (e.g., Meta, TikTok, X, LinkedIn) to stay ahead of industry trends and beta opportunities.
- Support the development of junior team members by providing coaching on platform strategy, content execution, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Foster a culture of curiosity, inclusion, and excellence within the team and across partner groups.
Compensation & Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $89,000 - $149,000.
- Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 10% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
