HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Camillus and Auburn. Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Oncology Supportive ONcology Coordinator


  

Under limited supervision, oversees and administers supportive oncology education, counseling, and support for patients and/or families.  

Coordinates, leads, and supports clinical activities within area of expertise.

Will provide training, guidance, and professional leadership to doctors and clinical staff.

Requirements

  

Minimum Licensure and Certification Requirements:

· Licensed to practice as NP in NYS with National NP certification and DEA registration.

· Masters Degree from an accredited NP program

· Physician Assistant - Certified

· Two or more years of experience caring for adults in an oncology or palliative setting as RN, NP

· BLS and ACLS 

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

3 years of experience as a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant

Experience prescribing pain medication

Effective Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Strong interpersonal skills

EPEC, ELNEC or CPAC training preferred or training with similar content is acceptable.
