<p>We are looking for a talented <strong>Solution Architect- Senior </strong>to join our team specializing in <strong>Systems/Information Technology</strong> for our <strong>Corporate</strong> organization in <strong>Columbus, IN.</strong> </p> <p> </p> <p><strong>In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:</strong></p> <p> </p> <div> <ul> <li><strong>Translate complex systems into scalable solutions:</strong> Break down business and technical needs into clear system components, ensuring seamless integration and well-defined interfaces.</li> <li><strong>Elevate architecture consistency:</strong> Apply enterprise architecture standards, patterns, and technology stacks to create reliable, scalable, and reusable solutions.</li> <li><strong>Drive smarter design decisions:</strong> Develop multiple solution options and use cost-benefit analysis to recommend the most effective, value-driven architecture.</li> <li><strong>Shape global architecture standards:</strong> Define and promote reference architectures that can be reused across the organization to improve efficiency and consistency.</li> <li><strong>Lead technical direction:</strong> Influence solution designs by embedding strong architectural principles and guiding teams toward long-term, sustainable technologies.</li> <li><strong>Champion collaboration and adoption:</strong> Build strong relationships with stakeholders to drive alignment and encourage the use of standard, enterprise-approved technologies.</li> <li><strong>Accelerate innovation through pilots:</strong> Lead proof-of-concept and pilot initiatives to validate emerging technologies and ensure they meet business needs before scaling.</li> <li><strong>Enable future-ready infrastructure:</strong> Assess capacity needs and stay ahead of technology trends to ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and aligned with evolving business demands.</li> </ul> </div> <p><strong>To be successful in this role you will need the following:</strong></p><ul><li>Balances stakeholders - Anticipating and balancing the needs of multiple stakeholders. <br/> </li><li>Collaborates - Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. <br/> </li><li>Communicates effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. <br/> </li><li>Decision quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward. <br/> </li><li>Persuades - Using compelling arguments to gain the support and commitment of others. <br/> </li><li>Strategic mindset - Seeing ahead to future possibilities and translating them into breakthrough strategies. <br/> </li><li>Change Management - Applies the Cummins structured process and tool set for engaging individuals and organizations through change to achieve and sustain business results and outcomes. <br/> </li><li>Architecture System Design - Defines and develops architecture deliverables, artifacts and building blocks (e.g. conceptual models, logical models, physical network designs, etc.) by applying architecture principles through the use of an architecture development framework and methodology that enables the organization to transform its systems in a controlled manner in response to business needs. <br/> </li><li>Solution Design - Creates and defines the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements. <br/> </li><li>Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Composes and decomposes a system into its component parts using procedures, tools and work aides for the purpose of studying how well the component parts were designed, purchased and configured to interact holistically to meet business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements. <br/> </li><li>System Solution Architecture - Creates solution designs and patterns using the Cummins Technical Reference Model (CTRM), CLEAN standards, and existing reference patterns to maintain alignment to Cummins standards. <br/> </li><li>Project Issue and Risk Management - Manages the process to identify, assess and prioritize issues and risks using recommended tools and disciplines. Drives actions to minimize, monitor and control risks and issues and to maximize the most positive outcomes possible. <br/> </li><li>Values differences - Recognizing the value that different perspectives and cultures bring to an organization. <br/><br/> </li></ul><p><strong>Education, Licenses, Certifications: </strong></p><ul><li>College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant technical discipline, or relevant equivalent experience required. </li><li>This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regu
