Sr. Process Facilitator – Packing

The AstraZeneca Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets and capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is complex, the largest AZ production site in the US with over 700+ employees.  We are located in the southwest corner of the state of Indiana, approximately 15 miles from Evansville, Indiana – the third largest city in the state.  The Mt. Are you ready to take on a leadership role in the field of Process Operation? As the Senior Process Facilitator, you will be responsible for managing the Process/Package Operation to produce high-quality products in accordance with the PET operating strategy. This role requires maintaining effective employee relations and compliance to cGMP, other regulatory and SOX requirements, as well as SHE obligations and AstraZeneca standards.

Accountabilities:
As a Senior Process Facilitator, you will provide direction to PET personnel, promote safe work practices, ensure cGMP’s are used and followed during production, and promote a positive work environment. You will also be responsible for training of PET personnel, generating reports for deviations, authoring and approving Standard Operating Procedures, and promoting continuous improvement in efficiency, quality, production, and safety.

Essential Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Pharmacy, related Science or business.
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in a GMP or regulated production environment.
- At least 4 year previous supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of FDA cGMP’s.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Problem-solving skills.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Experience working in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications, SAP, Trackwise.
- Training or experience in formulation, filling, packaging, validation, technology transfer, change control.
- Knowledge or previous experience in managing technical programs/projects.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to direct and participate in cross-functional teams.
- Project management skills.
