This is not a telework position, employee will be required to work at the DCF offices located in the Centre of Tallahassee.

DESCRIPTION:

This position reviews complaints daily and enters information received from web forms, e-mails, and letters into the Investigations Database accurately and timely. 

Act as back-up for all intake responsibilities, including analyzing and processing complaints and answering the telephone lines.  Makes recommendations for dispositions, including Management Referrals, Management Inquiries, case assignment, or correspondence closure within ten working days. Composes professional correspondence related to complaints and cases.

Reviews complaint related information entered into the Investigations Database to ensure that it is accurate and complete. 

Reviews and is familiar with statutes pertaining to confidentiality requirements as they relate to public records requests and Whistle-blower investigations. 

Coordinates and processes all Investigations supplies and other orders in MFMP.

Performs a variety of office functions to include typing, copying, filing, etc.  Maintains production and quality control by reviewing finished product for typewritten and grammatical errors. 

Attend staff meetings and participate in training opportunities and all department initiatives.

Completes or assists in the completion of projects such as the annual report, quarterly reports, management reports, or impromptu requests by the Operations & Management Consultant Manager, the Chief of Investigations, or the Inspector General.
