The Platform IP Development group is seeking an experienced and highly technical, staff-level digital/mixed-signal IC designer and design verification engineer to join our team. As part of this role, you will develop key strategic IP that will be leveraged across multiple businesses/product opportunities throughout the company. A key focus area for this position includes interacting with internal customers to communicate, improve, and maintain developed IP. Primary IP design area targets digital/mixed-signal; however, design efforts will span a wide application range including precision references, IOs, power, and mixed-signal/analog circuitry.
Responsibilities include:
Design, simulation, and verification of digital IP for and within mixed-signal IP environments for internal customers, taking developments from multi-customer definitions to completion
Working closely with analog engineers to create digital control, calibration, and interface circuits for mixed-signal IP designs and for chip-level IP integrations
Creating, when needed for a mixed-signal IP or chip-level IP project: RTL and analog models, hard and soft digital macros, custom and standard I/O interfaces, register and test maps, and verification with IP collateral for customers
Working with digital back-end engineers to derive synthesis, scan test insertion, place-and-route, timing closure, verification, and timing model creation
Documenting and presenting each digital design and corresponding results
Working closely with IP team and IP customers to define mixed-signal design best-practices, define system interfaces to IP and optimize IP digital partitioning for customers
Supporting characterization/debugging in the lab/ATE environments
