Job Description
Wish is seeking a flexible and strategic Director, HR Operations & Global Benefits to help us build a world-class People Ops and Benefits team who provide high quality support to our employees. The Director, HR Operations & Global Benefits will help drive and manage the administration of Wish policies, procedures, and programs to support the business and our workforce through strong partnerships with our HRBP, HRIS, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, and Workplace teams. Driving operational efficiency across the People Ops function is critical to this role’s success in supporting and scaling our high-growth organization. What you'll be doing:
- Manage the administrative responsibilities of the People Operations team, performing operational duties required to keep our processes running efficiently and effectively
- Recommend and implement enhancements for Workday platform and intranet spaces through partnership with key stakeholders to elevate the employee experience and further optimize People Operations processes
- Manage compliance programs, including SOX compliance, mandatory filings, policy updates and employee trainings
- Maintain contractor and vendor relationships and related agreements
- Manage New Hire Orientation and support onboarding program to ensure seamless integration of new hires into Wish’s culture and community
- Conduct offboarding, analyze trends, and share opportunities with HRBPs to influence/inform decisions
- Foster strong cross-functional relationships with Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal and other stakeholders to drive efficiencies and simplify workflows
- Function as a subject matter expert and People Operations representative for employee questions
- Develop Wish’s global benefits strategy and programs to support employee well-being and align with Wish’s total rewards philosophy
- Provide strategic direction, planning, design and financial oversight of all benefit programs globally, including health, retirement, and leave programs
- Manage all benefits and wellness-related communications, including employee education and training
- Design meaningful wellness programs and events to provide ongoing support for our employees
- Manage relationships with all benefit vendors, carriers and brokers globally
- Drive retirement plans and pension schemes globally including leading the 401(k) committee
- Research market practices and trends to ensure benefit strategy is competitive and aligned with industry best practices
- Partner with our benefit consultants to ensure compliance with all global requirements related to leave management, reporting and federal, state and local requirements such as ACA, COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, CCPA, GDPR, and HIPAA
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of progressive benefits and people operations experience and 5+ years of people management experience
- Expertise in global benefits and applicable laws, with a strong focus on CA state regulations and requirements
- Experience designing building and optimizing HR intranet spaces; knowledge or experience with Confluence a plus
- Highly analytical with advanced Excel skills
- Exceptionally collaborative and able to advise employees at all levels of the organization
- Knowledge of California and federal employment laws and regulatory requirements; multi-state compliance knowledge and experience a plus
- Strong critical thinking skills and ability to think outside-the-box to propose strategic solutions
- Able to identify gaps and drive operational improvements
- Excellent judgment and discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
