Are you ready to be a pivotal force in Advancing Health Outcomes For All? We are looking for a Sr Director, Enterprise Cash Operations to join our Financial Services and Solutions (FSS) organization, where our focus is being a strategic business partner who creates value, provides efficiency, and ensures compliance for McKesson. In FSS, you will gain exposure to all McKesson businesses while growing as a finance professional and fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external customers.

Position Summary

The Senior Director of Enterprise Cash Operations will lead McKesson’s enterprise-wide cash operations function, driving strategic transformation, operational excellence, and automation. This role oversees the full spectrum of cash operations activities—including cash application, reconciliation, and secure payment processing—ensuring alignment with enterprise financial systems and compliance standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in shared services, process optimization, and technology enablement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Enterprise Cash Operations team, including oversight of global shared services partners such as Genpact. Drive standardization and operational excellence across all cash operations processes, ensuring consistency across business units and customer segments.
  • Foster a continuous process improvement integrating data and innovative technologies to enhance the cash application process.
  • Collaborate with Credit and AR leadership to align cash operations strategy with broader financial goals and KPIs.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support the professional development of team members. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment and manage diverse stakeholder relationships.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators, ensuring timely and accurate cash posting, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • Oversee deployment and optimization of automation tools such as Blackline and the Cash Application Automated Solution (CAS).
  • Implement operational risk frameworks related to payment operations and promote a strong risk management culture. Ensure compliance with PCI and NACHA regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with Treasury and IT teams to align cash operations with enterprise liquidity strategies and technology initiatives. Ensure seamless integration of systems and processes to support cash operations across McKesson.
  • Manage multiple strategic projects from incubation through implementation to operational delivery.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 13+ years of professional experience and 6+ years of diversified leadership, planning, communication, organization, and people motivation skills (or equivalent experience).

Preferred

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in cash operations, credit, or AR, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, preferably in a shared services environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial systems, including SAP, Blackline, and AI-driven automation platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and offshore teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of delivering measurable business outcomes.
