Description

MCHC Health Center in Ukiah, CA, is seeking a dedicated Risk Management Program Coordinator to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's risk management program. In this vital role, you will identify, assess, and mitigate risks across various operational areas while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Duties Include:

  • Manages and protects the integrity, confidentiality and integrity of MCHC corporate documents, employees and patients.
  • Delivers excellent customer service to staff members and patients, including managing and responding to patient complaints.
  • Organizes the Risk Management meeting. (e.g.: invites attendees, books conference rooms, prepares agendas, collects and/or prepares materials and handouts, takes minutes and provides appropriate follow-up.)
  • Assists with the preparation of regular reports to MCHC Advisory Council and the Board of Directors.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Oversee the incident reporting process, ensuring timely documentation and follow-up on adverse events and near misses.
  • Assist in developing risk management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Assists with the management and delivery of the Risk Management goals.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance risk awareness among staff.
  • Participate in committees and meetings related to quality assurance and patient safety.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two-year college degree or four to five years experience in a commensurate position in a professional environment, or equivalent experience and/or education.
  • College level written and oral communication skills. 
  • Understands and utilizes appropriate business correspondence methods and styles to include document formats, language and grammar.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, organizational and troubleshooting skills.
  • Possess experience and knowledge using MSOffice 2010 (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and other software programs utilized in Risk Management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
