Building new futures for women in Western Sydney, Kempsey New South Wales, and Carnarvon Western Australia.

Real Futures is working closely with UN Women to deliver a program exclusively for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women in the Greater Western Sydney region, Kempsey New South Wales, and in Carnarvon Western Australia, with the financial support of the BHP Foundation.

Many First Nations women have found themselves marginalised – excluded economically and socially – through circumstance and stereotype.

The Women’s Business Second Chance (WBSC) Hub is a ground-breaking program for women at risk of being left behind. It aims to give them the chance to achieve quality learning, entrepreneurship and employment outcomes through access to educational, employment and support services, tailored to their needs as learners and future earners.

Real Futures is a majority Aboriginal-owned and staffed company. We provide tailored employment services, Parent Pathways Program (PPP), Community Development Program (CDP), Transition to Work (TtW), Indigenous Skills and Employment Program (ISEP) and Disability Employment Services (DES) across Australia.

The Reach Out Officer Women’s Business Hub duties include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Mentoring, Support and Participation
  • Education, Training & Employment
  • Expenditure, Administration & Reporting
  • Ensure the successfully delivery of the Women's Business Hub program on behalf of Real Futures.

Please note this role is fixed term until 19-12-2025

Essential

You will be an experienced and detail focused administration professional, along with:

  • Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person
  • Demonstrated ability to work in an outcome-based environment toward high performance results
  • High level Administration Skills and attention to detail
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and presentation skills
  • Well-developed computer literacy
  • Exceptional organisational skills abilities to manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people, people with a Disability, people from CALD background and the issues they face
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to comply with Real Futures’ code of conduct, company policies and procedures and uphold the organisations values in all interactions
  • Ability to work within a team and autonomously

To be considered you must...

  • Have full working rights in Australia
  • Have a current driver’s licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
  • Complete an Australia History Criminal Check
  • Have a current Working with Children Check or willing to obtain a Working with Children Check before employment
  • Ability to work Monday to Friday - 8:30am to 5:00pm
