Vaccination for COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) is mandatory for all MSK staff. Staff are considered fully vaccinated upon completion of a primary vaccination series for COVID-19 (i.e., one dose of a single dose vaccine or a final dose of a multi-dose vaccine series). Exceptions from the COVID-19 and Influenza (flu) vaccine requirements are permitted for those who request and receive an approved medical, religious, or fully remote exemption.  Requests for exemption can take up to two weeks to review. Vaccination or an approved exemption is required to start work.

Job Description

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to deliver comprehensive care on the Inpatient Solid Tumor Float Team to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research vital to establish outstanding, evidence-based care.

 

This isn't just any role – it's your chance to be a part of a brand-new team that's set to revolutionize staffing coverage across various solid tumor services, including GI, Head and Neck, Melanoma, Sarcoma, Thoracic, Gynecological, Breast, and GU medicine services. Your responsibilities will extend beyond the ordinary, encompassing swing admissions and coverage of triage when the need arises.

 

Hours: 13 hours shifts, flexible weekend requirement, no legal holiday coverage 

Location: 1275 York

 

WE ARE:The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

 

YOU ARE:-  Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple collaborators

-  Capable of multitasking while caring for various patient populations

-  An effective communicator

-  Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people

-  Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations

YOU WILL:-  Collaborate with a dynamic group of APPs & MDs

-  Provide comprehensive care to complex Inpatient Medicine Patients om different solid tumor teams

-  Participate in process improvement initiatives, implementation of patient education, and clinical support programs

-  Ensure the delivery of exemplary care and cultivate an environment that centers on the needs of patients and their families

YOU HAVE:- Master’s degree in Nursing with NYS NP license or Bachelor’s/Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies with NYS PA license

- Prescriptive privileges- A minimum of 2 years of Inpatient Medicine or related Inpatient Clinical Experience- Related national certification required

 

Pay Range $136,000-180,000K
