Head of Information Security

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

We are looking for a Head of Information Security to be responsible for Trade Republic’s information security team, strategy, policies, and governance framework. Your responsibilities will include:

• Align security initiatives with business goals and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the architecture and configuration of network, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, BAIT, DORA, ISO 27001).
• Oversee the development and execution of incident response plans, investigating and remediating security breaches or incidents.
• Build and manage the information security team, including hiring, training, and performance management

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in information security, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CEH, or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, standards, and technologies
• Experience with cloud security (AWS), network security, application security, and data protection
