Abound Health is hiring compassionate, reliable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in our licensed Residential Group Homes located in West Middlesex, Sharpsville, and Hermitage.

Residential DSPs provide hands-on support within group home settings, assisting individuals with daily living skills, personal care, community engagement, and maintaining a safe, supportive home environment. We are seeking dependable caregivers with strong personal-care skills and experience supporting individuals with varying behavioral and medical needs.

We currently have full-time and part-time Residential DSP openings with weekend and evening schedules available.

Available Schedules (Subject to Change)

Hermitage – Residential Home

• Sunday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Sharpsville – Residential Home #1

• Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Sunday–Saturday | 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

West Middlesex – Residential Home

• Monday & Tuesday | 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

Sharpsville – Residential Home #2

• Saturday | 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
• Monday | 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
• Saturday | 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

About the Role

As a Residential DSP, you will support individuals in licensed group homes, helping them live safely, comfortably, and with dignity. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and passionate about helping others.

Key Responsibilities

• Support behavioral, social, and daily living skill development
• Assist with recreational and community activities
• Follow treatment plans and document progress
• Provide companionship and respite care
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Assist with personal care needs as required
• Work independently and as part of a residential team

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of caregiving experience preferred
• Experience with I/DD preferred (training provided)
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with disabilities
• Valid driver’s license and active car insurance
• Comfortable with personal care and behavioral-support needs
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Physical ability to assist with lifting or transfers

Compensation

$18.00 per hour
$1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates

Signing Bonus Details

• $333 after 90 days (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $333 after 6 months (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $334 after 1 year (minimum 20 hours/week)
• Bonus not available for Relative as Provider (RAP) hires
• Applicants must not have worked for Abound Health or its affiliates within the past 18 months
