Operations Lead (Shipping) / Thurs - Sat 6:00am - 6:00pm

Purpose:
Supports the operations leadership team by contributing to labor allocation, leading meetings, assigning job duties, coaching for success, creating a safe & collaborative work environment, and driving process improvement. The role will be very technical and require strong problem-solving skills. Leads will work closely with Operations Supervisors to monitor workflows, manage breaks in volume, and drive overall shift performance.
Key Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with Operation Supervisor to lead a team of up to 50 hourly associates.
· Utilize warehouse tools, including radio frequency handheld units (“RF Guns”) and computer kiosks, to update
· transactions within the warehouse management system (WMS) and ensure employee activities are logged for Goal Post performance tracking.
· Understand and act as a role model in following all standard operating procedures (SOPs)
· Train and coach associates to achieve all operational goals and service levels
· Mentor and develop teammates to perform better in their current roles while preparing them for future career opportunities
· Ability to develop and share best practices
· Help to foster a positive team environment that encourages all associates to provide insights and feedback to improve processes, adapt to an ever-changing business, and stay focused on customer satisfaction
· Contribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment
· Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concerns
· Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Proficient verbal and written communication in English
· Ability to count and distinguish colors
· Proficient computer skills using the internet, Windows, Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and navigating adidas systems
· Ability to work collaboratively within a large group of co-workers
· Positive and enthusiastic approach
· Strong knowledge of DC operations, including storage methods and material flow
· Performance and metrics driven mindset
· Working knowledge of WMS
· Ability to work in a warehouse environment
· Ability to reliably attend work/scheduled hours and overtime as needed Ability to use equipment, including but not limited to box knife, RF scanner, manual and powered equipment
Essential Functions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:
· work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures
· regularly talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms, and feet to reach, feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day
· occasionally climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch
· occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
· work safely on elevated surfaces (i.e. multiple level mezzanine)
· reliably attend work/scheduled hours
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
· Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in distribution/warehouse operations
· Ability to work overtime and weekends as required
· Leadership experience preferred
