About the role
This is a temp to hire position
General Overview: Provide support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to preparing departmental documents, processing leaves of absence, time and attendance, and custom reports. Perform administrative support for benefit administration, departmental budget tracking, and administration of Associate recognition programs. Assist department by performing administrative duties and special projects. DutiesProvide general assistance to Associates regarding questions, proper form completion, attendance hours, logo clothing, etc.Process and complete paperwork associated with leaves of absence according to Federal regulations. Generate, distribute, and maintain all directory lists and organizational charts.Maintain human resources records including but not limited to: new hire paperwork, transfers, terminations, changes in job classifications, tracking vacation and personal time. Answer and direct internal and external phone calls.Coordinate catering.Order and inventory office supplies and company logo clothing.Prepare, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail, including mass distributions.Maintain confidentiality.Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork by upholding a positive and cooperative attitude, and personal responsibility.Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems.Participate and support in new hire orientation process.Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge/Experience:Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource systems and processes.Understand State and Federal employment laws regulations.Effective oral and written communication skills.Computer literacy and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Good interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with Associates from widely diverse backgrounds and cultures.Ability to work accurately, with interruptions, to meet deadlines.
Requirements:Associates degree in Human Resources or related field with at least 1 year of Administrative Assistant experience, preferably in Human Resource field.or High school diploma plus 3 years of Administrative Assistant experience in Human Resource field.
