Swetka’s Tennis Shop is a well-established tennis specialty store located in Mountain View, CA. For more than 50 years, Swetka’s has provided tennis enthusiasts with racquets, footwear and apparel. The shop prides itself on having a friendly, knowledgeable staff, who together have over 100 years of experience in the tennis industry!

We are looking for reliable and personable individuals to help us build lasting relationships with our customers in our retail storefront for Swetka’s Tennis Shop, located in Mountain View, California. Whether you are helping someone find the right tennis racquet to fit their needs or answering questions about various types of shoes, we want you to share a passion for people and ability to problem solve.

We are also looking for reliable and personable individuals to help us to perform basic racquet preparation and maintenance, including stringing and other racquet services.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

Racquet Service

· Carefully and efficiently install strings according to racquet specifications.

· Identify possible damage or defects to racquets and/or strings and make an assessment of the necessary corrective actions.

· Repair and/or replace accessories as needed.

· Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

· Other duties deemed necessary to support daily operations of Sports Warehouse.

Work Environment

· This position operates in a typical retail environment that requires frequent face-to-face interactions with customers. This role routinely uses computers and cash registers/credit card machines. The use of racquet stringing machines and related tools/supplies may also be required.

Physical Demands

· The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to handle objects and type on a computer, use phones and computer software/cash registers to place customer orders and communicate with others to exchange information.
