We require 1 day a week in office for London and Amsterdam-based employees and you have flexibility to decide which day.</p> <h3><strong>About the team</strong></h3> <p><strong>Editor Core</strong> is at the heart of what we do : powering the editing engine that supports millions of creators, marketers, and businesses. We’re the team behind the high-performance video editor that lets users trim, cut, subtitle, crop, transcode, render (and caffeinate) without switching tools.</p> <p>We focus on performance, stability, and bringing delightful features to life. If it moves pixels or makes the editor faster, we’re probably behind it.</p> <h3>About the role</h3> <h3>What you will be doing</h3> <p>This fullstack role requires a good mix of frontend and backend knowledge. You’ll spend your time building backend services that supercharge our video editor with AI capabilities, and wiring them up with the frontend as needed.</p> <p>Here’s a taste of what you’ll be working on:</p> <ul> <li>Core services powering our Editor</li> <li>Infrastructure for AI-driven features</li> <li>Speed and stability</li> <li>Collaborating with product and design on changes that impact user experience</li> </ul> <h3>Our Stack</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Backend</strong>: Node.js, TypeScript, Fastify, Prisma, GraphQL, Temporal</li> <li><strong>Frontend</strong>: React, Next.js, Redux, Tailwind</li> <li><strong>Infra:</strong> Docker, GCP</li> </ul> <h3>About you</h3> <ul> <li>You are proactive. You are motivated to understand product/technical challenges</li> <li>You’ve been building web applications professionally for <strong>5+ years</strong></li> <li>You’re fluent in <strong>TypeScript</strong>, and know your way around <strong>Node.js</strong> backend frameworks</li> <li>You have solid experience designing and maintaining <strong>APIs</strong>, background workers, or async processing systems</li> <li>You have <strong>experience with performance optimization and observability</strong></li> <li>You’re comfortable working with <strong>infra basics</strong> (Docker, GCP, CI/CD)</li> <li>You care about <strong>code quality</strong> and testing</li> </ul> <h3>What we offer</h3> <ul> <li><strong>Monthly subsidy programme:</strong> Different people have different needs and therefore value different benefits.
